Town Board Meeting Minutes
October 16th, 2024
*5:00 p.m. *


1) Call to order. Town Supervisor, Curt Peterson called the meeting to order at 6:07 p.m.

Town Supervisors in attendance were David Pope, Peter Vanderloo and Pam Johnson-Loy. Absent was: Kyle Levetzow. Also in attendance was Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson.

Everyone in attendance recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

2) Approval of Public Notice/Agenda. Supervisor, David Pope made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda seconded by Supervisor, Pam Johnson-Loy. Motion carried.

3) Public Comment. None.

4) Discussion & possible action re: 2025 Budget. The Town Board worked on preparing a final draft of the 2025 budget.

5) Closed Session in accordance with Wisconsin Statue 19.85 (1) (c) to consider employment, promotion, employee hours, compensation or performance evaluation of any public employee of which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. (Performance Evaluation & Compensation) David Pope made a motion to go into Closed Session in accordance with Wisconsin Statue 19.85 (1) (c) to consider employment, promotion, employee hours, compensation or performance evaluation of any public employee of which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Pam Johnson-Loy seconded the motion. Motion carried. Roll call: Peterson, yes; Pope, yes; Johnson-Loy; yes and Vanderloo, yes.

6) Reconvene into Open Session. David Pope made a motion to reconvene into open session. Pam Johnson-Loy seconded the motion. Motion carried.

7) Board action as a result of Closed Session. Pam Johnson-Loy made a motion to increase the full-time patrolman wage to $31.75 and the Recycling Center Attendant wage to $19.50 effective January 1st, 2025. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried.

8) Continuation of Item #3 – Discussion & possible action re: 2025 Budget. The Town Board prepared the final number for the 2025 budget to present the drafted budget at the public budget hearing that would be held on Wednesday, November 13th.

9) Adjournment. Peter Vanderloo made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:35 p.m. Pam Johnson-Loy seconded the motion. Motion carried.
