Town Board Meeting Minutes
August 26th, 2024
*5:00 p.m. *


1) Call to order. Town Supervisor, Curt Peterson called the meeting to order at 5:02 p.m.

Town Supervisors in attendance were Peter Vanderloo, David Pope, and Pam Johnson-Loy. Also in attendance were Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson and Kevin Zajicek.

Everyone in attendance recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

2) Approval of Public Notice/Agenda. Supervisor, David Pope made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda seconded by Supervisor, Pam Johnson-Loy. Motion carried.

3) Public Comment. None

4) Discussion & possible action re: Room Tax Update. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson shared information with the Town Board in regards to room tax after meeting with Mayor, Barry Hottman. David Pope made a motion to e-mail the mayor indicating we are eager to get an Ordinance together and create a joint room tax and wanted additional information on how the commission would be structured. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried.

5) Discussion & possible action re: Recycling Center / Parking Lot. The Town Board continued to discuss the different options in regards to the possibility of moving the Recycling Center. No action was taken.

6) Discussion & possible action re: Purchasing of Plow Equipment for MACK Chassis. Town Patrolman, Kevin Zajicek presented a quote from Universal Equipment. David Pope made a motion to approve the proposal from Universal for up to $120,000.00. Pam Johnson-Loy seconded the motion. Motion carried.

7) Adjournment. David Pope made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 5:46 p.m. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried.
