Special Town Board Meeting Minutes

1) Call to order. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson called the meeting to order at 5:06 PM.

Town Supervisors in attendance were: Greg Jewell, Charles Price, David Gollon and David Thomas. Also in attendance was Clerk Sara Olson.

2) Approval of Public Notice/Agenda. Supervisor, Charles Price made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda seconded by Supervisor Greg Jewell. Motion carried.

3) Discussion and possible action re: Rohowetz Road Bus Turnaround. Curt Peterson presented to the Town Board a verbal request to put a bus turnaround on Rohowetz Road. The Town Board has requested Curt Peterson to go out to Rohowetz Road and assess the situation to see if this is even a possibility. No action taken.

3) Discussion and possible action re: Health Insurance for employees. The Town Board discussed the options that were presented to them by Brent Straka at the December 2, 2008 meeting. No action taken.

4) Closed Session in Accordance with Wisconsin Statue 19.85 (1) (c) to consider employment, promotion, employee hours, compensation or performance evaluation of any public employee of which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. David Gollon made a motion to go into closed session in Accordance with Wisconsin Statue 19.85 (1) (c) to consider employment, promotion, employee hours, compensation or performance evaluation of any public employee of which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility at 5:20 p.m.. Greg Jewell seconded the motion. Roll call: Peterson, yes, Price, yes, Jewell, yes, Thomas, yes. Motion carried. Also present was Clerk Sara Olson.

5) Reconvene into Open Session. Charles Price made a motion to reconvene into open session at 6:35 p.m.. Greg Jewell seconded the motion. Motion carried.

6) Board Action as a Result of Closed Session. David Gollon made a motion to reimburse Full-time employees up to $1,150.00 a month for any Dental, Vision and/or Major Medical coverage in which the employee has paid. The Full-time employee must provide a receipt or a copy of a cleared check proving payment as well as proof of coverage to qualify for this reimbursement. Any Full-time employee who has in force individual, government sponsored or group dental, vision or major medical health Insurance coverage and wishes to waive the reimbursement will receive compensation in the amount of $184.62 per pay period (26) for calendar year 2009 providing they provide the Town of Dodgeville with proof of major medical health insurance. This policy is to be reviewed annually by December. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson is to contact Johnson Block and Company to develop a legal reimbursable expense policy, and also Brent from Tricor Insurance to construct an updated policy for the employee handbook. Greg Jewell seconded the motion. Motion carried. Greg Jewell made a motion to approve a bonus in the amount of $1,450.00 to Sara Olson for her performance in 2008. David Thomas seconded the motion. Motion carried.

7) Public Comment. None

8) Adjournment. Charles Price made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:47 P.M. David Thomas seconded the motion. Motion carried.
