Plan Commission Meeting
Thursday, December 29th, 2011
The Town of Dodgeville Plan Commission met on Thursday, December 29th at 6:30 PM. Chair, Anthony Esch called the Planning Commission meeting to order at 6:32 PM.
Plan Commission Committee members in attendance were: Chair, Anthony Esch, Robert Butler, Matthew Chitwood, Laura Jean Blotz and Curt Peterson. Katherine Cahill and David Blume were absent.
Others in attendance were: Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson, Henry Stewart, Gary Rowley and John Halverson.
Chairman Anthony Esch verified that proper notice of the meeting was posted on December 22nd, 2011 in accordance to WI Statutes 19.84 (3) at the Town Message Boards at Jumping Jupiter, Mueller Implement and the Town Office. Curt Peterson made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda. Robert Butler seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Curt Peterson made a motion to approve the September 26th, 2011 meeting minutes with the addition of the arrival of Kathi Cahill notated in the minutes. Matthew Chitwood seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Chairman Anthony Esch asked Gary Rowley to provide the Planning Commission information on the rezoning application, located in the part of the SW ¼ of the SW ¼ and SE ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 32, Town 6 North, Range 4 East to rezone 5.00 acres more or less from A-1 Ag to AR-1 Ag Residential which will be combined with an existing 9.222 acre AR-1 parcel to create a 15 acre more or less AR-1 parcel. Gary Rowley indicated that the individuals that currently own the 9.222 acres wanted to purchase an additional 5 acres.
Curt Peterson made a motion to recommend the approval of the rezoning of 5.00 acres more or less from A-1 Ag to AR-1 Ag Residential located in the part of the SW ¼ of the SW ¼ and SE ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 32, Town 6 North, Range 4 East currently being owned by Gary & Laurie Rowley with the conditions it is combined with the existing 9.222 acre AR-1 parcel which creates a 15 acre more or less AR-1 parcel. Matthew Chitwood seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Chairman Anthony Esch asked Henry Stewart to provide the Planning Commission information on the rezoning application, located in part of the SE ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 30 Town 7 North Range 3 East to rezone 10.00 acres more or less from A-1 Ag to AR-1 Ag Residential. Henry Stewart indicated that he was trying to separate the building off from the Ag land.
Matthew Chitwood made a motion to recommend the approval of the rezoning of 10.00 acres more or less from A-1 Ag to AR-1 Ag Residential located in part of the SE ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 30 Town 7 North Range 3 East currently being owned by Henry Stewart & Amber Donald with the conditions that the density standard be met by placing the correct amount of land into AC-1 and only one residence is allowed on the 10.00 acre lot. Laura Jean Blotz seconded the motion.
John Halverson passed out some correspondence about a possible upcoming petition and had questions in reference to retaining building rights. The Town Plan Commission discussed the matter and had indicated that the individual would need to talk to the Iowa County Plan Commission Administrator Scott Godfrey about the matter as well.
Curt Peterson made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Laura Jean Blotz seconded the motion. Motion carried.
