Town Board Meeting Minutes
February 12th, 2019
*6:00 p.m.*

1) Call to order. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m.

Town Supervisors in attendance were: Kyle Levetzow, Peter Vanderloo and David Blume. Absent was David Gollon. Also in attendance was Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson.

Everyone in attendance recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

2) Approval of Public Notice/Agenda. Supervisor, David Blume made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda seconded by Supervisor, Kyle Levetzow. Motion carried.

3) Approval of Meeting Minutes from January 2nd, 2019. David Blume made a motion to approve the meeting minutes from January 2nd, 2019 as presented. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried.

4) Approval of Treasurer’s Report for General, Sanitary District #1 and Tax Collection Account. David Blume made a motion to approve the Town of Dodgeville’s January 2019 Treasurer’s Report stating the following fund balances:

General Checking $ 124,667.54
Farmer’s Savings $ 190,364.89
Local Government Investment Pool $ 7,209.74
Farmer’s Savings Tax Account $ 604,219.63
Mound City Tax Account $ 751,352.29

Township Funds: $ 481,186.98
Tax Funds: $1,196,627.11

Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried.

David Blume made a motion to approve Sanitary District #1 Treasurer’s Report as submitted stating the following fund balances:

Sanitary District #1 $4,979.26

Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried.

5) Bills to be approved. David Blume made a motion to approve the February 5th, 2019 vouchers in the amount of $22,743.54 and Sanitary District #1 vouchers in the amount of $163.01. Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried.

6) Town Roads/Equipment Report. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson indicated that the roads were in good shape and Town patrolman James Rochon was interested in purchasing the pole saw. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson had requested that a price be obtained from Jewell & Associates for the engineering costs for the ditching of Leffler Road.

7) Clerk/Treasurer Report. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson reminded the Board of the February 19th election and indicated that her grandfather wasn’t doing well and will possibly be taking bereavement leave.

8) Discussion & possible action re: Planning Commission Recommendation. Peter Vanderloo made a motion to recommend the approval of the rezoning application of David & Michael Price of approximately 22 acres more or less from AR-1 to C-1 with the remaining 15 acres more or less remaining in the AR-1 district located in the NE ¼ of the NW ¼ of Section 23, Town 7 North, Range 2 East except that part which lies southerly of Hunter Hollow Road located at 3150 Hunter Hollow Road. David Blume seconded the motion. Motion carried.

9) Discussion & possible action re: Proposed Revisions to Sections A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and I of the Town of Dodgeville Comprehensive Plan. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson presented information in regards to the proposed revisions to Sections A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and I of the Town of Dodgeville Comprehensive Plan. Kyle Levetzow made a motion to approve the proposed revisions to Section A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and I of the Town of Dodgeville Comprehensive Plan as presented. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried.

10) Discussion & possible action re: Abandoning Well at Town Hall. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson presented proposals from Collins & Hying and Judd Pumps for abandoning the well at the Town Hall. Peter Vanderloo made a motion to accept the proposal from Judd Pumps in the amount of $895.00 and to seek cost sharing funds through Iowa County for the well abandonment. Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried.

11) Discussion & possible action re: Survey Road Right-of-Way Negotiation Contract. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson presented a contract for the Survey Road Right-of-Way negotiations in the amount of $3,500.00 from Jewell Associates Engineers, LLC. David Blume made a motion to approve the Survey Road right-of-way negotiation contract from Jewell Associates Engineers, LLC. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried.

11) Public Comment. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson had indicated that he would be on vacation the first week of March. The Town Board requested that the Regular Town Board meeting held in March be scheduled for March 13th @ 6:00 p.m.

12) Adjournment. David Blume made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:26 p.m. Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried.
