Plan Commission Meeting
Monday, February 25th, 2013
The Town of Dodgeville Plan Commission met on Monday, February 25th at 6:30 PM. Plan Commission member David Blume called the Planning Commission meeting to order at 6:30 P.M.
Plan Commission Committee members in attendance were: Robert Fitzsimmons, Matthew Chitwood, Curt Peterson, Katherine Cahill and David Blume. Absent were: Robert Butler and Anthony Esch.
Others in attendance were: Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson and Karen Trumpy.
David Blume verified that proper notice of the meeting was posted on February 21st, 2013 in accordance to WI Statutes 19.84 (3) at the Town Message Boards at Jumping Jupiter, Mueller Implement and the Town Office. Matthew Chitwood made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda. Robert Fitzsimmons seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Katherine Cahill made a motion to approve the January 28th, 2013 meeting minutes as submitted. Robert Fitzsimmons seconded the motion. Motion carried.
David Blume asked Karen Trumpy to provide information to the Planning Commission on the rezoning application of 2.00 acres more or less from A-1 Ag to AR-1 located in part of the NE ¼ of the NW ¼ of Section 25, Township 7 North, Range 2 East located at 3434 Wittman Road in the Town of Dodgeville. Karen Trumpy had indicated that they were looking to split off their home from the rest of the farm for refinancing purposes. The Planning Commission discussed the petition thoroughly due to the second lot would contain trailer homes that are currently grandfathered in however when they are removed from the property only one residence can be on the second lot per the one time split transaction and the Township Comprehensive Plan. Curt Peterson made a motion to recommend the approval of the rezoning of 2.00 acres more or less from A-1 Ag to AR-1 with the following conditions; pictures of all four trailers must be submitted to the Town of Dodgeville indicating their current uses, notification must be made to the Township if a trailer is removed or falls in disrepair to the point that the use of the trailer changes and a driveway easement is required for the other two residents on the second lot located in part of the NE ¼ of the NW ¼ of Section 25 Town 7 North Range 2 East located at 3434 Wittman Road currently owned by Karen Trumpy. Matthew Chitwood seconded the motion. Motion carried.
The Plan Commission didn’t discuss the Land Use Element-Survey.
Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson notified the Plan Commission on a zoning situation on Dyreson Road where a second residence was placed on a less than 70 acre parcel that was not issued a zoning permit but doesn’t require any rezoning. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson had indicated that an update would be given at the next Plan Commission meeting after talking to the county about the situation.
Katherine Cahill made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:18 p.m. Robert Fitzsimmons seconded the motion. Motion carried.
