Plan Commission Meeting
Monday, February 28th, 2011
The Town of Dodgeville Plan Commission met on Monday, February 28th at 6:30 PM. Chair, Dave Blume called the Planning Commission meeting to order at 6:30 PM.
Plan Commission Committee members in attendance were: Chair, Dave Blume, Laura Jean Blotz, Anthony Esch, and David Thomas. Curt Peterson, Matthew Chitwood and Robert Butler were absent.
Others in attendance were: Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson, Irving VonAllmen, Marilyn VonAllmen and Ted Greenheck.
Chairman Blume verified that proper notice of the meeting was posted on February 17th, 2011 in accordance to WI Statutes 19.84 (3) at the Town Message Boards at Jumping Jupiter, Mueller Implement and the Town Office. David Thomas made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda. Anthony Esch seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Anthony Esch made a motion to approve the November 29th, 2010 meeting minutes as presented. Laura Jean Blotz seconded the motion. Motion carried. David Thomas abstained from the motion.
Chairman David Blume asked Ted Greenheck who was representing Gary Grunow to provide the Planning Commission information on the rezoning application, located in the NE ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 19, Town 6 North, Range 3 East to rezone 2 acres more or less from A-1 to R-1 Residential. Ted Greenheck indicated that Gary Grunow is interested in selling the 2 acres that consist of the home site.
David Thomas made a motion to recommend the approval of the rezoning of 2 acres more or less from A-1 Ag to R-1 Residential located in the NE ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 19, Township 6 North, Range 3 East currently being owned by Gary Grunow with the condition of 33 acres more or less being placed into a conservancy district. Laura Jean Blotz seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Chairman David Blume asked Irving & Marilyn VonAllmen to provide the Planning Commission information on the rezoning application, located in the NW ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 14, Town 6 North, Range 2 East to rezone 5 acres more or less from B-2 & A-1 to AR-1 Ag Residential. The remaining portion of the B-2 land not included in the 5 acre parcel will be rezone to A-1 Ag. Irving & Marilyn VonAllmen indicated that they are trying to rezone the current home and business to AR-1 Ag Residential as they are planning to sell this piece of their property.
David Thomas made a motion to recommend the approval of the rezoning of 5 acres more or less from B-2 & A-1 to AR-1 Ag Residential with the remaining portion of the B-2 land not included in the 5 acre parcel to be rezoned to A-1 Ag located in the NW ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 14, Township 6 North, Range 2 East currently owned by the VonAllmen Trust with the condition that 30 acres more or less be put into a conservancy district. Laura Jean Blotz seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There was no update given on the Farmland Preservation.
There was no other correspondence and other matters discussed.
Laura Jean Blotz made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Anthony Esch seconded the motion. Motion carried.
