Town Board Meeting Minutes
July 10th, 2018
*Immediately following Board of Review*
1) Call to order. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson called the meeting to order at 5:19 p.m.
Town Supervisors in attendance were: David Blume, David Gollon, and Kyle Levetzow. Excused was Peter Vanderloo. Also in attendance were Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson, Greg Jewell, Jeff Haylock and Randy Beerkircher.
Everyone in attendance recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
2) Approval of Public Notice/Agenda. Supervisor, David Blume made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda seconded by Supervisor, David Gollon. Motion carried.
David Blume made a motion to suspend the agenda moving Item #8. David Gollon seconded the motion. Motion carried.
3) Discussion & possible action re: Awarding of the Esch Road TRIP Project/Norwegian Hollow Road Project. Greg Jewell from Jewell & Associates presented the bid tabulation details to the Town Board. David Gollon made a motion to award the Esch Road TRIP Project/Norwegian Hollow Road Project to Iverson Construction in the amount of $92,073.75. Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried. Greg Jewell indicated that Iverson’s would be looking at August for a start date for the project.
4) Approval of Meeting Minutes from June 5th, 2018. David Gollon made a motion to approve the meeting minutes from June 5th, 2018 with a correction to Item #13 removing the name of Kyle Levetzow and replacing it with Peter Vanderloo who seconded the motion. Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried.
5) Approval of Treasurer’s Report for General, Sanitary District #1 and Tax Collection Account. David Blume made a motion to approve the Town of Dodgeville’s June 2018 Treasurer’s Report stating the following fund balances:
General Checking $ 56,094.61
Farmer’s Savings $ 405,989.45
Local Government Investment Pool $ 7,121.51
Farmer’s Savings Tax Account $ 0.00
Mound City Tax Account $ 158,676.83
Township Funds: $ 627,882.40
Tax Funds: $ 0.00
Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried.
David Blume made a motion to approve Sanitary District #1 Treasurer’s Report as submitted stating the following fund balances:
Sanitary District #1 $16,260.70
Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried.
6) Bills to be approved. Kyle Levetzow made a motion to approve the July 10th, 2018 vouchers in the amount of $130,445.06. David Blume seconded the motion. Motion carried. Kyle Levetzow made a motion to notify the assessor that we will be reducing his August salary by $75.45 for publication fees. David Gollon seconded the motion. Motion carried.
7) Town Roads/Equipment Report. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson updated the board in regards to the ditching issue on Brennan Road and the resolution that was discussed with the property owner. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson indicated that a driveway would be installed in the fall per the property owner.
8) Clerk/Treasurer Report. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson updated the Town Board in regards to the annexation of the Town property located at 108 E. Leffler Street, a vacation request and the upcoming Partisan Primary election.
9) Discussion & possible action re: 2017 Audit Report. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson presented the 2017 Audit Report that was received from Johnson & Block. The Town Board reviewed the audit report as well as the 2018 year to date budget and expenditures.
10) Approval of Operators License for 2018-2019 licensing year: Ashley Anderson. Kyle Levetzow made a motion to approve an Operators License for the 2018-2019 licensing year to Ashley Anderson. David Gollon seconded the motion. Motion carried.
11) Discussion & possible action re: Installation of Sewer & Water Lines. No action was taken on this item.
12) Discussion & possible action re: Ordinance Chapter 7 Intoxicating Liquor and Fermented Malt Beverage Licenses Amendment. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson presented the draft copy of the Intoxicating Liquor and Fermented Malt Beverage Licenses Amendment. David Blume made a motion to delay action on this item. Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried.
13) Public Comment. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson indicated that a thank you card was received from the Sonnenburg family.
14) Adjournment. David Blume made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:06 p.m. Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried.
