Town Board Meeting Minutes
July 2nd, 2019
*6:00 p.m.*

1) Call to order. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Town Supervisors in attendance were: David Gollon, David Pope and Kyle Levetzow. Excused was: Peter Vanderloo. Also in attendance was Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson.

Everyone in attendance recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

2) Approval of Public Notice/Agenda. Supervisor, Kyle Levetzow made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda seconded by Supervisor, David Pope. Motion carried.

3) Comments for the public. Town Board Supervisor, David Gollon had indicated some concerns in regards to unacceptable waste being brought to the Recycling Center as well as individuals not flattened boxes prior to disposal in the cardboard container. David Gollon had requested that a sign be placed on the dumpster requesting individuals to flatten the boxes and requested that these items be mentioned in an upcoming newsletter.

4) Approval of Meeting Minutes from June 4th, 2019. David Gollon made a motion to approve the meeting minutes from June 4th, 2019 as presented. Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried.

5) Approval of Treasurer’s Report for General, Sanitary District #1 and Tax Collection Account. David Gollon made a motion to approve the Town of Dodgeville’s June 2019 Treasurer’s Report stating the following fund balances:

General Checking $ 122,084.72
Farmer’s Savings $ 393,871.36
Local Government Investment Pool $ 7,283.68
Farmer’s Savings Tax Account $ 0.00
Mound City Tax Account $ 146,186.15

Township Funds: $ 669,425.91
Tax Funds: $ 0.00

David Pope seconded the motion. Motion carried.

David Gollon made a motion to approve Sanitary District #1 Treasurer’s Report as submitted stating the following fund balances:

Sanitary District #1 $8,475.84

David Pope seconded the motion. Motion carried.

6) Bills to be approved. David Gollon made a motion to approve the July 2nd, 2019 vouchers in the amount of $214,346.05 and Sanitary District #1 vouchers in the amount of $3,293.93. Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried.

7) Town Roads/Equipment Report. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson had indicated that he would be working with the county on shimming of Hunter Hollow and Section Line Road. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson updated the Board in regards to the repairs being made to the mower tractor. The Town Board requested that prices be obtained in regards to the possibility of trading-in the Case Tractor/Backhoe.

8) Clerk/Treasurer Report. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson reminded the Town Board that Board of Review would be held on July 15th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. or adjournment.

9) Discussion & possible action re: Planning Commission Recommendations. David Gollon made a motion to recommend approval of the rezoning application of Laura Diederich Trust to rezone 0.3 acres more or less from AR-1 to C-1 located in part of the SW ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 14, Town 6 North, Range 2 East located on Berg Road. Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson also shared correspondence that was received from Iowa County Planning & Zoning in regards to regulation of campers outside approved campgrounds.

10) Discussion & possible action re: Driveway Variance – Hunter Hollow Rd (Price). Town Chairman, Curt Peterson presented information in regards to a driveway variance request from the Price property on Hunter Hollow Road due to the proposed driveway is less than 100’ from an existing driveway. David Gollon made a motion to grant the driveway variance request allowing the proposed driveway to within 100’ feet from an existing driveway. Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried.

11) Discussion & possible action re: PASER and WISLR Training. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson presented information on a PASER and WISLR Training that would be held on July 29th, 2019 in Mineral Point. David Gollon made a motion to allow Curt Peterson and/or a designee to attend the training held on July 29th, 2019. Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried.

12) Discussion & possible action re: WMCA Annual Conference. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson presented information on a WMCA Annual Conference that would be held in August in Madison. David Pope made a motion to allow Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson to attend the WMCA Annual Conference in August in Madison. Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried.

13) Approval or Denial of Operators License for 2019-2020 licensing year: Ashley Olson, Fontana Degenhardt, Sara Polinag, Lacey Edwards and Chad Mosley. Kyle Levetzow made a motion to approve the operator’s license for the follow individuals for the 2018-2019 licensing year: Ashley Olson, Fontana Degenhardt, Sara Polinag, Lacey Edwards and Chad Mosley. David Pope seconded the motion. Motion carried.

14) Discussion & possible action re: 2018 Audit Report. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson presented the 2018 Audit Report received from Johnson Block & Company. The Town Board reviewed the audit report.
15) Discussion & possible action re: Water at Town Shop/Hall. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson presented information in regards to having the water tested at the Town Hall. Kyle Levetzow made a motion to have the water tested at the Town Shop/Hall. David Pope seconded the motion. Motion carried.

16) Adjournment. Kyle Levetzow made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:11 p.m. David Gollon seconded the motion. Motion carried.
