Plan Commission Meeting
Monday, June 29th, 2009
The Town of Dodgeville Plan Commission met on Monday, June 29th, 2009 at 6:30 PM. Chair, Dave Blume called the Planning Commission meeting to order at 6:30 PM.
Plan Commission Committee members in attendance were: Chair, Dave Blume, Laura Jean Blotz, Curt Peterson, Matt Chitwood, John Crook, and Larry Lenox. David Thomas was absent.
Others in attendance were: Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson, Ed Weaver and Roland Swiggum.
Chairman Blume verified that proper notice of the meeting was posted on June 18, 2009 in accordance to WI Statutes 19.84 (3) at the Town Message Boards at Jumping Jupiter, Mueller Implement and the Town Office. John Crook made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda. Matt Chitwood seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Curt Peterson made a motion to approve the May 26th, 2009 meeting minutes as submitted. Matt Chitwood seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Chairman Blume asked Roland Swiggum who was representing himself and his father in the current petition to explain the current petition. Roland Swiggum indicated to the Plan Commission that he was trying to rezone 2 acres more or less which contains the existing trailer home from A-1 Ag to AR-1 Ag Residential for the purpose of creating a separate parcel. The petition was to rezone 2 acres more or less which contains the existing trailer from A-1 Ag to AR-1 Ag Residential being in part of the SE/SE of S19-T6N-R3E in the Town of Dodgeville.
Matt Chitwood made a motion to recommend the approval of the rezoning of the 2 acres more or less which contains the existing trailer from A-1 Ag to AR-1 Ag Residential being in part of the SE/SE of S19-T6N-R3E with the conditions that a 66’ easement is described on the Certified Survey Map, a shared driveway agreement is signed and recorded at the Register of Deeds and the remaining required acreage be put into the conservancy district or overlay district. John Crook seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Chairman Blume asked Ed Weaver to explain the current petition submitted by Morton Buildings. Ed Weaver indicated to the Plan Commission that he was trying to rezone 1.45 acres more or less which contains the existing structures from A-1 Parcel of Record to B-2 Business for the purpose of making the parcel zoned business. Ed Weaver also explained he would need a conditional use to allow the use of copying and printing. The petition was to rezone 1.45 acres more or less which contains the existing structures from A-1 Parcel of Record to B-2 Business being in part of the NW/SE of S22-T6N-R3E in the Town of Dodgeville and to allow the conditional use of copying and printing.
John Crook made a motion to recommend the approval of the rezoning of the 1.45 acres more or less which contains the existing structures from A-1 Parcel of Record to B-2 Business being in part of the NW/SE of S22-T6N-R3E and to approve a conditional use permit allowing copying & printing. Matt Chitwood seconded the motion. Motion carried.
The Planning Commission reviewed and discussed Section F, Element No. 6, Economic Development and Section G, Element No. 7, Intergovernmental Cooperation of the Town of Dodgeville Comprehensive Plan.
John Crook made a motion to adjourn at 8:13 p.m. Matt Chitwood seconded the motion. Motion carried.
