RESOLUTION 2009-262
DNR/DOT Offices
WHEREAS, the Town of Dodgeville Board feels outdoor recreation is a large part of our economic development in Iowa County and in Southwestern Wisconsin, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board feels that many Department of Transportation offices are needed in numerous locations to serve the general public, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board feels many people rely on the Dodgeville offices to provide accurate information related to their specific activity, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board feels it would be an inconvenience at best and a future loss of business in our community and a greater demand on energy if people have to drive 40 miles to the Madison area, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board feels most of the general public in the Dodgeville rural area doesn’t have high speed internet.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Town of Dodgeville Board asks you to please reconsider this budget proposal and keep the Dodgeville Department of Natural Resources Office a “full-service center” and the Department of Transportation office opened.
