TO: The Town Residents

The Town of Dodgeville recently experienced some issues during the last two winter weather events that we would like to explain. We normally try to operate three trucks for a snow or ice event to cover the 71 miles of Township roads. During the first major snow storm we had one of our Tandem trucks break down so we were left with one Tandem and the F550.

During the most recent ice event we had both Tandem trucks break down. We were able to get one of them repaired and back on the roads after a few hours. Unfortunately, the other tandem was broke down for the entire event. The break down of equipment was the reason why there were some delays in the level of service we were able to provide. We strive to do the best we can given the circumstances of the storm. The Town has and continues to invest in newer and better equipment. Unfortunately, even that new equipment has experienced some problems.

The Town of Dodgeville would like to thank the employees for the long hours put in during these two winter weather events.
